The Institute of Industrial Economics at the School of Business Administration (EQUIS accredited) of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) started granting doctoral degrees in industrial economics in 1987, the first in southwestern China. Currently the Institute has eight full time faculty members who obtained their PhD degrees respectively from regions of Canada, UK, USA, Mainland China and Taiwan.

The Institute is now inviting job applicants in empirical industrial organization, investment strategy, financial economics, economic growth and technological progress, development economics,consumption economics, and circulation economics at all ranks. Priority will be given to applicants:

---- whose researches cover economies of Central Asia, Africa, The Middle East, South Asia, and ASEAN area;
---- who obtained or be close to the completion of PhD in a relevant field from a well-recognized university;
---- who can speak one or more of the following languages: Russian, French, Arabic or a native language of Central Asia and Africa;
---- who must be able to teach, communicate and conduct researches in English.

Being able to Mandarin Chinese is not a necessary condition. A compensation package includes a generous annual salary, a research fund, a housing allowance, as well as other benefits.
