The Department of economics at Bucknell University invites applications for an entry-level tenure-track faculty position in public or urban/regional economics to begin in August 2017. Exceptional non-entry candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate will teach courses in public economics, economics principles, and elective courses related to public economics and/or urban and regional economics depending upon each candidate's areas of interest and expertise. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research will contribute to the department's commitment to academic excellence and diversity. Candidates are expected to have a PhD or advanced ABD by start date.

Application materials must include a cover letter, CV, a teaching portfolio, a scholarly statement and a sample of recent scholarship, a diversity statement, graduate school transcripts, and three letters of recommendation. The teaching portfolio should include a statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi and course materials, and student evaluations (if available). The diversity statement should reflect the candidate's awareness of the challenges facing the many student groups traditionally under-represented in higher education and discuss strategies for addressing these challenges. Applications are only accepted through Interfolio ByCommittee. Please go to http://apply.interfolio.com/38114 Review of applications will begin on November 1, and will continue until November 30, 2016.
