The Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics ( in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Science at The Ohio State University invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor with tenure in the area of agricultural and food system economics. The appointee will have an academic year (9 month) appointment in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics with competitive salary and benefits package and is expected to develop and maintain a world-class research program in their field of inquiry, teach in our undergraduate, Master's, and/or Ph.D. programs, and develop an appropriate outreach program.

This position is part of cluster of four new hires in the Department focused on sustainable resource management in the 21st century. The position is partially funded by a Discovery Theme Initiative ( at the Ohio State University. The successful candidate will be among approximately 30 new hires university-wide in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary Initiative for Food and AgriCultural Transformation ( that includes more than 50 existing faculty and many external partners seeking transformational solutions for resilient, sustainable and global food security.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in economics, agricultural economics, business or an applied economics field. Interest in developing or working in collaborative multidisciplinary research teams, and experience with teaching and mentoring members of underrepresented groups is preferred.
