Blasingame Chair and Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics. Full-time, 12-month, tenure track position, 50% Research, 35% Extension, and 15% Teaching appointment.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will: 1) develop nationally recognized research, Extension, and Teaching programs focusing on agricultural, food, and/or natural resource policy; 2) develop analytical models appropriate for economic analysis of existing or proposed policies and programs; 3) present research results in appropriate formats; 4) teach one undergraduate or graduate course yearly (in agricultural, food, natural resource policy); 5) publish Extension and popular press articles; 6) acquire extramural funding; 7) mentor and supervise students; 8) work closely with the state’s agribusinesses, farmer-oriented organizations, and local, state, and federal agencies and policymakers; and 9) participate in service activities of the Department, Institute, University, and profession.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or closely related field. The successful candidate must also have a nationally recognized record of scholarly achievement, which qualifies the candidate for the rank of Professor.
