The Department of Economics of the University of Chile invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in September of 2017. Successful applicants will be expected to conduct top-level academic research, and deliver high-quality teaching, based in Santiago de Chile, at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEN).

Prospective candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics or related areas of economics sciences and be proficient in Spanish. The academic position is open to economists with any field of specialization. Publications in WOS journals and previous teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate level are positively valued.

Compensation and teaching load will be competitive with other top academic institutions in Latin America. The position includes a generous annual research stipend for the first five years.
