The Department of Economics in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for a one-year visiting position, renewable up to three years, in Microeconomics at the rank of assistant professor, beginning fall 2017. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics; ABDs within one year of degree completion may be considered. Teaching responsibilities are at the undergraduate level and may include graduate, online or blended coursework. In addition to introductory and intermediate undergraduate classes of microeconomics, preferred areas of teaching interest include sports economics, industrial organization and econometric s, as well as other related micro economic areas. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
