Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Arkansas Development Finance Authority seeks applicants for the position of Director of the Division of Economic Policy. The Division of Economic Policy is housed within the Arkansas Development Finance Authority, an agency of the State of Arkansas, and provides economic analysis and serves as an economic adviser to the Office of Governor.
The functions of the position will include using fundamental public economics and public choice principles in analyzing state policy initiatives including analyzing state tax law and recommending improvements to promote economic growth; analyzing state regulatory law and recommending improvements to promote entrepreneurship and job-creation; analyzing state financial data and organizational structure and recommending opportunities for efficiency; analyzing state budgets with the goal of optimizing tax expenditures.
The Director will be responsible with presenting this analysis to the Governor, state agencies and elected officials.
