The department seeks applications for a full-time lecturer for the Fall 2017 semester. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate courses at both the introductory and advanced levels. An instructor is a term-to-term appointment, with responsibility to students, course materials, and classroom instruction. This appointment is renewable depending on teaching evaluations and departmental need. Compensation is highly competitive.
Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s or ABD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
2. Current expertise and substantial knowledge in the specific field or discipline.
3. Experience teaching economics.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. candidate in Economics or Agricultural Economics.
The successful candidate will possess effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently, and possess exceptional organizational skills; and have a strong interest in student success and commitment to quality teaching. The successful candidate will also have an interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to the principles of inclusiveness and diversity.
