The Department of Economics at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for two temporary one-year, non-tenure track positions beginning August 2017. The teaching load will be 3 courses per semester. Teaching needs include micro and macro principles, environmental economics, intermediate macroeconomics, economic development and economic growth. The successful applicant will be dedicated to quality teaching and have an interest in participating in a research environment. The department has a vibrant research faculty, a strong experimental group with lab facilities, a macro-labor group that collaborates with economists at nearby the Federal Reserve of Richmond and a collegial working environment. Preference will be given to those who have completed their dissertation prior to the start of employment.
