The Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University is seeking to fill a one-year post-doctoral researcher position that would be split 50-50 between research and teaching, beginning May 15, 2017 and ending May 14, 2018. The post-doc would provide support for research activities in labor economics, microeconomics, and statistics under the guidance of Mary Davis, Chair of UEP. Additional responsibilities include teaching one introductory graduate course in statistics during the Fall 2017 semester, and one introductory graduate course in microeconomics during the Spring 2018 semester. Both courses are designed for graduate-level policy students with minimal background in economics and statistics. Example syllabi for both courses are available on Prof. Davis’ faculty website.
A PhD in Economics or related field is required. College-level teaching experience is preferred, particularly in microeconomics and statistics.
