The Department is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to undertake and contribute to research, under the auspices of ARC Discovery Grant DP150101728: “Approximate Bayesian Computation in State Space Models”.
Prof Gael Martin and Assoc Prof Catherine Forbes are the Chief Investigators on the grant, and international researchers Prof Brendan McCabe and Prof Christian Robert are Partner Investigators.
The Research Fellow will be involved in research projects associated with the grant, under the direction of Prof Gael Martin and Assoc Prof Catherine Forbes.
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following fields of specialisation are encouraged to apply:
Bayesian statistical methods; simulation techniques, including sequential Monte Carlo methods; time series analysis, including the estimation of state space models; robust inferential methods; forecast evaluation techniques.
Commencement: From July 2017 or as negotiated
