The School of Economics and Political Science of the University of St. Gallen wishes to appoint an

Assistant Professor in Econometrics

by 1st August 2017, or by mutual agreement. All areas of Econometrics will be considered. A successful candidate should preferably be interested in developing econometric methods, possibly dealing with high dimensional and Big Data issues. Part of the teaching will be in Time-Series Econometrics.

To be considered for this position, applicants should have a Ph.D. in Economics, Econometrics or Statistics and a promising track record in research.

The appointment is for 6 years (non-tenure track). The teaching load will be two classes (four hours) per week (24 weeks p.a.). Applications from qualified women are particularly welcome.
