Houzz (www.houzz.com) in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a talented Pricing Economist for our rapidly growing Marketplace.
You will work cross-functionally to develop methods for analyzing & providing guidance on pricing, logistics, cost optimization, fulfillment, etc. You will gain access to a rich variety of research problems & datasets, a world-class analytics platform & the opportunities to create real business & social impact.

Responsibilities
• Develop new econometric models or improve existing approaches for pricing
• Build models & work with large data complex data sets to do deeper analysis
• Build scalable solutions & implement experiments in production
• Apply economic theory to solve business problems in a fast moving environment
• Drive business growth through pricing strategy, shipping efficiency, logistics etc.

Qualifications
• PhD in Economics, OR, Data Science or related field
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong background in statistics methodology, applications to business problems, &/or big data
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience data munging & using databases with large-scale, complex datasets
• Strongly data-driven & technical
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
