The Congressional Research Service is seeking an Analyst in Telecommunications Policy to join its Science and Technology Policy Section.
The position's primary focus is federal policy with respect to telecommunications and the Internet, especially the competitive dynamics in this rapidly changing sector of the economy, the implications of regulatory change on competition and industrial structure, and the relationship of telecommunications and Internet policy to other governmental objectives. In addition, the policy analyst may support research analyses undertaken throughout CRS.
The analyst will prepare authoritative, objective, and non-partisan analytical studies and descriptive and background reports on relevant policies and programs; provide personal consultation and assistance to congressional committees, Members, and staff; and participate in or lead team research projects and seminars. The analyst will conduct outreach to congressional staff and communicate about complex subjects with non-specialist audiences.
