The Center for Indian Country Development (Center) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis (Bank) seeks an economist to produce and publish policy-relevant analysis of development issues in American Indian communities. The Economist will also advise management, contribute to Center initiatives, present to academic and nonacademic audiences, and assist in speech writing.
Masters’ degree in Economics or closely related field required, but Ph.D. and experience analyzing economic and policy issues highly preferred. The candidate should have experience applying microeconomic datasets to policy issues. Experience with Indian Country institutions and development issues preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to convey research findings to non-economists are critical.
