The Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at El Paso invites applications for a postdoctoral position in natural resource and policy economics. Candidates should have a research interest in water resource economics and research in the area of food-energy-water nexus analysis. Candidates must be within two years of receiving their Ph.D.
The postdoctoral research associate is expected to produce research, interact with researchers at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at El Paso and other universities, prepare/manage grant writing process, present research at academic conferences, and perform related duties. Duties will include conducting research on regional natural resource issues, particularly those related to conjunctive management of water resources in Texas, with an emphasis on competition for scarce water resources among sectors. The selected individual will assist in developing models of regional hydro-economic systems and analyzing the impacts of policy on water use and sectoral profitability.
