The MPA in Economic Policy Management (MPA-EPM) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs is seeking an adjunct professor for Macroeconometrics PEPM U6640 for the spring semester of 2019.
The course provides a graduate-level understanding of econometric techniques for policy managers, with focus on macroeconomic applications. Course topics include analysis of stationary and non-stationary time series, vector autoregression, ARCH and GARCH-type models and panel data estimation Course lectures are once per week from late January through early May. The course is supplemented by a recitation taught by a Columbia Ph.D. student. Students have previously studied statistics and core econometrics including OLS and IV, and have experience using econometric software.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics or related field and experience in economic policy or applied econometrics; demonstrated success in teaching econometrics preferred.
