Responsibilities:

Business development is the primary responsibility of the Senior Consultant. Experience and connections within the electricity and/or natural gas industries are essential. The Senior Consultant is expected to be familiar with issues currently facing these industries, as well as to anticipate challenges and the corresponding opportunities on the horizon.

In developing new projects and new clients, the Senior Consultant will rely upon the 40-year reputation of Christensen Associates and the skills and capabilities of our proven team of economists, econometricians, statisticians, and computer scientists.

Project management is another essential responsibility. The Senior Consultant is expected to lead project teams, leveraging the work to teams of highly skilled analysts, while assuring projects are completed on time and on budget, and result in a high level of client satisfaction.

While growing the practice is the objective, repeat business and long-term client relationships are the indicators of success.

Qualifications:

Proven track record of success at business development

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector (particularly electricity and/or natural gas)

Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, social media, etc.)

Analytical Capabilities:

Demonstrated experience leading project teams

Advanced degree in economics, engineering, business, or related field useful, but not essential.
