The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is a global forum for monetary and financial cooperation and a bank for central banks.

The BIS has a number of openings for experienced economists in its Monetary and Economic Department (MED). The positions are in a variety of units, including financial markets, monetary policy and in the secretariat of the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS).

You will define and carry out policy analysis of global financial and economic issues, and undertake research relating to financial stability and monetary policy for BIS publications and professional journals.

You have a PhD and experience gained at a central bank, an international policy institution, or in academia. You combine a strong research background with solid experience in applying economic analysis to real-world situations. You have excellent drafting and communications skills in English.
