The Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University invites applications for a tenured position in Public Policy with a focus in Empirical Economics. The appointment will be made at the rank of either Professor or Associate Professor, beginning in September 1 in 2019.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

(1) Academic research background in empirical economics; Ability to teach public policy courses (e.g., public economics, social security and public finance) offered for the public policy major in the Graduate School of Political Science and Economics (i.e., English based professional master’s degree program starting from September, 2019), and also in the Faculty of Political Science and Economics (both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels).
(2) Be able to conduct research and education on public policy from an international perspective including evaluation of institutional systems and policies in other countries and regions.
(3) Ph.D. degree or equivalent professional achievement.
(4) Teaching experience in relevant courses at university level.
(5) Be able to teach classes in both English and Japanese
