The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the 2019-20 academic year. We seek candidates with teaching and research interests in any subfield of Industrial Organization, e.g. Anti-trust, Economics of Regulation, and/or Market Structure. Candidates with expertise in complementary fields including health economics, energy economics, and others are particularly desirable. Macalester College values a strong commitment to research, a promise of successful scholarly engagement, and dedication to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment. The teaching load is four courses the first year, five courses per year thereafter, and is expected to include intermediate microeconomic theory. Ph.D. expected by August 2019.
