Applications from all fields in empirical microeconomics (e.g. organizational / industrial economics, health economics, labor economics, political economy, etc.) are invited. Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or equivalent degree completed at the start date of the appointment.

The main criterion for selection is academic excellence. The successful candidate must provide evidence of high quality scholarly output that demonstrates potential for independent research leading to publications in top general interest and top field journals. She/he will teach courses at the Bachelor and Master level in microeconomics.

The Department encourages and supports the candidate in the acquisition of third-party research funding (e.g. ERC, SNF). We offer a highly competitive salary, which is fixed according to the regulations of the Canton of Bern. The University of Bern is an equal opportunity employer.
