As part of enhancing its Asian Studies Program and reputation as a center of excellence in contemporary China studies, the University of Puget Sound invites applications for a social scientist of contemporary China with expertise in one or more of the following areas related to Chinese society: (1) international economy and trade; (2) regional and border relations; (3) environmental studies; and (4) social and technological change. This full-time, tenure-line position begins Fall 2019.
A PhD degree in a social science discipline and a commitment to liberal arts education are required. Chinese language proficiency sufficient to conduct research in Mandarin is required.
