Ashoka University is a relatively new liberal Arts university, located in the outskirts of Delhi, India. The goal of the Department of Economics is to build a vibrant faculty which excels in both teaching and research in the region.

We will be recruiting several faculty positions at all ranks this year. While applications in all fields are invited, candidates specializing in Macroeconomics, Finance, Microeconomic Theory, International Economics, Industrial Organization are particularly welcome. Applicants must hold, or be close to completing, a PhD as well as possess teaching experience appropriate to rank. Those applying for Assistant Professorships may demonstrate this by a strong doctoral dissertation and research papers. Applicants for Associate or full Professorships must have a proven track record of publications. The university provides a very generous pay package including research budgets.

Department representatives will attend the ASSA meeting in Atlanta to hold initial interviews. Applicants should apply by December 1, 2018. Applications must include a curriculum vitae, two samples of academic writings (article length), a teaching statement, teaching evaluations (if available) and three references. A cover letter may be included if any relevant additional information needs to be communicated.
