The Department of Economics at The University of Texas at Arlington expects to have an opening for an open-rank, tenured/tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2019, and pending budgetary approval. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics at the time of application (no ABDs). Our primary interest is in applied microeconomics as applied to urban economics, health economics or environmental economics. Applicants with a track record of external grants, especially grants in collaboration with scholars from other disciplines, will receive preference. Most teaching will be at the master’s level. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service.
