The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University invites applications for tenure track assistant professor in the field of public policy beginning in the Fall 2019 semester. The School has a particular interest in applicants whose research and teaching focus on environmental economics, public finance, urban economics and related applied economics fields. Qualifications include a distinguished Ph.D. record in economics, public policy or related fields, strong evidence of a commitment to research, strong teaching skills, and a demonstrated interest in public policy issues. We expect the applicant to have a Ph.D. by the time of their appointment.

The committee will begin considering applications in mid October and will continue to do so until the position is filled. We will be interviewing candidates at both the Association for Public Policy and Management (APPAM) meetings in Washington DC in November 2018 and at the Allied Social Science Meetings (ASSA) in Atlanta, GA in January 2019. Applicants who wish to be considered for interviews should indicate their availability for one or both of these meetings in their cover letter.
