Responsibilities:
• Ability to teach in at least 2 substantive areas in development economics and related fields. Preference given to candidates with specializations in Development Economics, Public Economics, and Macroeconomics.
• To have a promising and vibrant research project in economics supported by a strong record of academic publications.
• To serve in interdisciplinary teaching across the institute, student advising, and related activities, such as academic mentorship, and supervision of students’ theses and capstone projects and other related activities.
• To play an active administrative role in the school including memberships in college and institute wide committees.

Qualifications:
• PhD degree in Economics, Economic Development or related disciplines.
• Excellent record of research& publication and a proven record of excellence in teaching, preferably at the graduate level.
• Priority given to candidates specialized in the fields of public economics, public finance, macroeconomics, &/or economic development
• Ability to teach in both Arabic & English. Both are recognized as languages of learning and research at DI.
