The Department of Economics of the University of Zurich is seeking to fill a position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, starting September 2019. Applicants should have a PhD degree in Economics before taking up the position. Successful candidates for Assistant Professorships are appointed to three-year contracts, renewable once, with evaluation for tenure after six years. Applicants at the rank of Associate or Full Professor should have an established academic record commensurate with the position.

The research focus of the position lies in the broad area of macroeconomics.

The Department of Economics offers an exciting research environment, competitive terms and conditions, and generous research support. Knowledge of German is not a requirement.

Complete applications including cover letter, CV, job market papers, and (for the rank of Assistant Professor) at least 3 letters of recommendation will be reviewed starting Nov 20th, 2018. Interviews will be conducted at the ASSA-AEA meetings in Atlanta, January 2019. There is also a possibility of conducting interviews at the EEA Job Market in Naples, December 2018.
