The Department of Economics announces a search for a tenure track position at the assistant professor rank, effective August 2019. Applicants must have teaching interests in History of Economic Thought and Analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for strong teaching and research and will be expected to teach a 3-2 course load. We are particularly interested in candidates with specialization in History of Economic Thought and Analysis, Economic History or Political Economy. Ph.D. in Economics by the time of appointment strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should be committed to teaching in the liberal arts tradition and producing high quality research. We seek an Economist trained in History of Economic Thought and Analysis with research interests in Economic History or Political Economy. The teaching load is 3-2 and includes introductory and upper-level courses. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their scholarship, teaching, or service that they can contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of our community.
