The Department of Economics seeks a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with research and teaching interests in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics. The individual will normally teach four courses per year (six credit hours per semester) and conduct research in their field. The candidate will teach classes in person and/or online. As a large research university located in a dynamic metropolitan area, we aspire to recruit and retain ambitious scholars who are also engaged in their local community.
A Ph.D. in Economics or substantial evidence that the individual will defend their dissertation by the August 1, 2019 is required.
Salary and benefits are competitive. Summer research support is available for at least 3 years.
