The Department of Economics, part of the AACSB accredited College of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning August 26, 2019. The candidate will teach an introductory business statistics course and upper-division courses, such as applied econometrics, intermediate microeconomics, labor economics, environmental economics, or public economics. A typical semester includes two preparations with a nine-hour teaching load. Class sizes range from 25 to 35 students.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability and interest in innovative and high quality teaching, a commitment to scholarly research, and a willingness to engage in university and professional service. Applicants should have or be near completing a doctoral degree in Economics or a related field by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than May 15, 2020. Prior published peer reviewed work and teaching experience desirable.

A complete application includes a cover letter, curriculum vita, and three confidential letters of recommendation submitted by reference providers. Full consideration will be given to complete applications received by December 1, 2018.

The cover letter should address the candidate’s teaching experience and research interests.
