The Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College invites nominations and applications for appointment as the Austin W. Marxe Chair of International Affairs. The position has tenure or accelerated tenure-track status at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, depending on qualifications. The endowed position comes with a reduced teaching load, discretionary research funds, and an annual stipend. The successful candidate will have a strong record of scholarship in an area of International Affairs. The area of International Affairs is open, however preference will be given to candidates with specialization in one or more of these areas: Global Health; Climate and Environment; Terrorism and Security; Democratization and Civil Society; Migration and Refugees; Information Technology, Internet and Cyber Security Policy; or Development. Candidates must have a doctorate in a relevant discipline. The candidate will teach courses primarily for the School’s new Master of International Affairs (MIA) program, launched in Fall 2017, including courses in the core curriculum along with those in the candidate’s areas of expertise.
