Position Title/Short Description

Full time fixed term appointment for 2 years

You will assist senior staff by preparing, matching and carrying out initial analysis of data on specific research questions, preparing draft reports, summaries of findings and literature surveys. Opportunity will be provided for co-authorship of scientific papers.

Candidates should have a first or upper second class (or international equivalent) undergraduate degree in Economics or other quantitative discipline; and a Masters in Economics or other quantitative social science discipline (but must have very good knowledge of economics). Standard of Masters should qualify entry to PhD programme.

Candidates should also have advanced experience of using Stata for analysing large scale micro data; a demonstrated knowledge of and interest in economics of education and skills and current policy issues; excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey technical material in non-technical terms for policy and other non- academic stakeholders; and experience of large scale data driven projects.
