Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth macroeconomic and financial market research on the global, regional, Mainland China or Hong Kong economies that are relevant to a central bank
• Prepare analysis and briefing materials on macroeconomic and financial market developments
• Participate in policy discussions

Requirements
• Postgraduate degree (for Economist) or University degree (for Assistant Economist) in economics or finance. PhD an advantage
• Three-year solid experience in conducting in-depth empirical research (applied econometric analysis) at universities / financial institutions / international organisations / central banks / research institutes
• Experience in applied economic and financial market analysis at international organisations or financial institutions an advantage
• Good analytical and quantitative abilities
• Excellent command of English with good drafting and presentation skills

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Assistant Economist level.)

Remuneration Package
