Professor Costas Arkolakis at Yale University and Ph.D. Candidate Sun Kyoung Lee at Columbia University are seeking a Full-Time research assistant for 1 to 2 years, beginning as soon as possible. We work on a number of projects related to economic geography using machine-learning, big data and digitized historical data.
You will work on projects related to spatial economics. The work will be highly empirical nature, and require coding in PYTHON, STATA, MATLAB, and R as well as Latex formatting. The position will be active from Jan 1, 2019 to Dec 31, 2019 but start, end dates and duration are negotiable. We are looking for candidates post-undergraduate who intend to pursue a PhD in economics or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
