The FTC’s Bureau of Economics anticipates openings for junior and senior economists in 2019. Our staff of approximately 80 PhD economists analyze antitrust and/or consumer protection issues and make policy recommendations to the Commission.
The Bureau of Economics maintains a working paper series, a seminar series, and an annual microeconomics conference. The Bureau’s economists regularly present their independent research at seminars and conferences, and publish in top journals. Economists in all fields of applied microeconomics or econometrics who write and communicate effectively and have a strong comprehension of microeconomic analysis are encouraged to apply. Visit “FTC Careers in BE” for further information.
