The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) anticipates hiring one or more health services researchers with Economics or similarly quantitative Ph.D. degrees, within the GS 12 to 14 range, depending on experience. The successful candidates will join a group of health researchers in the Center for Financing, Access and Cost Trends (CFACT). CFACT researchers have a strong record of peer-reviewed contributions in health economics and policy, and they contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the household and employer components of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) and the hospital discharge data contained in the state and nationwide databases of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). Experience working with public or private claims data, employer data, household survey data, and/or administrative or discharge level data will be an important consideration. The position is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Appointment is subject to budgetary approval.

AHRQ is located In Rockville, MD, a Metro-accessible suburb of Washington, D.C.
