Seeking individual with strong quantitative & modeling skills and intensely curious, entrepreneurial spirit. Ideal candidate is a team player, motivated by the challenge of bringing data analytics to complex economic development initiatives.

What you will be doing:
• forecasting & time series analyses specific to regional economic & sector conditions;
• identifying & implementing existing and emerging data analytics techniques;
• distilling analysis into clear, actionable narratives that inform business and local/regional government decisions;
• preparing publication-quality reports and analyses tailored to diverse technical and non-technical audiences, including industry experts, state and local government officials, community and business stakeholders;
• working with junior staff, including mentoring and cultivating technical capabilities; and
• engaging clients/stakeholders on consulting and research projects.

Qualifications
• MS or PhD in quantitative discipline - economics, econometrics, statistics
• Strong statistical programming skills are essential
• Spatial programming (R and/or Python), a plus
• Ability to balance quantitative rigor with the practical realities of inconsistent and incomplete business and economic data
• Ability to use insights from various sources to create compelling narratives that inform strategies for an organization
• Experience in economic development, demand planning, forecasting, business intelligence, a plus
