Educator (Non-Tenure Track Teaching Faculty), Institute for the Study of Economic Growth), Institute for the Study of Economic Growth (depending on funding)
Wichita State University may seek to fill one or more non-tenure-track teaching faculty positions (depending upon funding) in the newly created Institute for the Study of Economic Growth, housed in W. Frank Barton School of Business. Due to the volume of applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. The Institute seeks to advance the teaching, research and application of innovation and entrepreneurial activities in a free enterprise economy to enhance societal prosperity through economic growth. Towards this end, teaching faculty members will actively promote and support teaching in these areas.
Based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, each position will be a non-tenure-track position in the economics, management, or finance department, based on area of specialization. The successful candidate is expected to have teaching responsibilities in the relevant academic department (the willingness to teach online is a plus), and have a substantial presence on campus. Some service is also expected, and willingness to engage in some research consistent with the mission of the Institute is a bonus. Teaching faculty members may also be asked to assist in occasional business and community outreach activities related to the Institute’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master degree in economics, finance, or related field
Demonstrated success college-level teaching in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in economics, finance, or related field
Demonstrated experience with international business and global perspectives on market and enterprise systems
Some record of scholarly or applied research in markets, enterprise systems, policy or economic growth
