Asian Development Bank (ADB) is an international development finance institution headquartered in Manila, Philippines and is composed of 68 members, 49 of which are from Asia and Pacific. ADB's mission is to reduce poverty and promote sustainable economic growth in the region. ADB's main instruments for helping its developing member countries are policy dialogue, loans, equity investments, guarantees, grants and technical assistance.

The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is an entry-level recruitment program to attract highly qualified and motivated individuals to ADB. YPP provides the foundation for a challenging and rewarding professional career in an international development environment and offers a wide range of opportunities.

This year, the Bank’s Economics Department is looking for a bright and enthusiastic economist to join the team as Young Professional and undertake collaborative research in macroeconomics and development with ADB specialists and external researchers. Topics include debt sustainability, employment and aging society, and behavioral economics.

As an ideal candidate, you have strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual skills in economics, together with demonstrated expertise in economic research on development.
