The Department of Economics invites applications to fill a faculty opening at the associate or full professor rank to begin in Fall 2020. The fields within Economics are open, although applications are particularly encouraged from candidates in applied microeconomics, including labor economics and related areas. A successful candidate at the rank of associate or full professor will have an excellent record of both scholarship and teaching.
Applicants must submit through our on-line application system a letter of application, research and teaching statements, CV, and contact information for three references. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
The Department of Economics serves more than 700 undergraduate majors and approximately 100 graduate students (MS and PhD). The PhD program offers fields in industrial organization, labor economics, development economics, and health economics. Northeastern University recently announced the establishment of a new interdisciplinary center for research and learning: the Institute for Experiential A.I., and the Department welcomes applications from candidates with interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
