The Department of Economics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania invites applications for four Full-Time, Temporary positions (AA#s 24900-19-339, 340, 341, and 342) at the Instructor level for the academic year 2020-21. The initial one-year appointment may be extended for one (1) additional year, 2021-22. The extension will be based upon: acceptable performance evidenced by the performance evaluation process during the initial year of the appointment, student enrollment; availability of funding, and recommendation by the majority of regular full-time department faculty. The successful candidates will teach four courses (12 credit hours) per semester at the undergraduate level. Course assignments may include, but are not limited to, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Business and Economics Mathematics, and Business and Economics Statistics I. Master’s in Economics is required. Preference will be given to candidates with an ABD or a Ph.D. in Economics, and candidates who are able to provide evidence of or show potential for effective teaching of course assignments identified above, and demonstrate an ability to work with diverse populations.
