The Heller School for Social Policy and Management invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in economics and public finance beginning summer/fall 2020. The position is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment to teach 4-5 courses, including multiple sections of Microeconomics across our Social Impact MBA and Masters of Public Policy programs. We seek candidates who can bridge the gap between theory and practice and are ready to teach in an integrated, cross-disciplinary environment. Preference for candidates with a focus on the economics of social policy and social-impact organizations, incorporating case studies and examples in areas such as health, labor, housing, poverty, and children/family policy. Ability to teach a course in Public Finance a plus.
Candidates should possess knowledge of economics demonstrated by a PhD degree in economics, experience teaching economics courses, and/or managerial experience involving budgetary and economic decisions. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, CV, and evidence of teaching excellence. Review of applications will begin April 1 and will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. Questions can be directed to Darren Zinner, PhD, Associate Dean for Academics (dzinner@brandeis.edu).
