Curative is a healthcare startup founded in 2020 that provided 5% of all COVID PCR tests in the U.S. and administered 2M COVID vaccinations. We care about population health, preventative care, patient experience and patient outcomes. We're re-inventing and re-building healthcare to align incentives on patient outcomes.
Curative is searching for a healthcare economist who can help us understand how capital is spent in large healthcare systems, and how this can be optimized to reduce costs and improve patient outcomes. This position would be ideal for candidates with advanced academic training and/or industry experience in healthcare consulting and government healthcare policy.
Responsibilities
-Analyze health care and hospital systems to understand where costs and patient value are distributed
-Lead and manage research projects regarding health plan strategy
-Design healthcare incentives and interventions that will provide the largest improvements in patient health outcomes.
-Bring strong understanding to the company around economic and incentive systems in U.S. healthcare
Desired qualifications
-PhD (or advanced degree) in economics, statistics, health services research, public health, public policy, or a related discipline.
-Experience working on value based healthcare systems is a plus
-Proficiency in statistical programming languages
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
