Berry College's Campbell School of Business (AACSB accredited) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Economics to begin August 2022. Women and BIPOC candidates are encouraged to apply.
We seek a colleague who demonstrates aptitude and enthusiasm for innovative teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment, including activities outside the classroom such as directing honors theses and senior capstone projects. Teaching responsibilities include introductory courses along with upper-level courses in support of finance and economics majors in areas such as money and banking, housing or urban economics, risk and insurance, development economics, or economic history.
In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to publish original research. Therefore, candidates should demonstrate potential for an ongoing viable research agenda. All faculty at Berry have access to a wide range of professional development opportunities, including summer research grants, support for conference travel, and teaching workshops and seminars.
Faculty at Berry are also expected to be engaged in department and college activities and contribute to the vitality of the campus and professional communities through their service.
Requirements:
Candidates should have an earned doctorate or be ABD in Economics (with degree completion expected before August 2022) and show evidence of teaching success and a promising research agenda. Rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicants should demonstrate success in prior full-responsibility undergraduate teaching experience.
