Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the College of Wooster invites applications for TWO one-year, full-time faculty positions beginning Fall 2023, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Qualified candidates will be ABD or have a Ph.D. completed in Economics.

Required teaching fields include one or more of the following courses: Principles of Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, or Intermediate Macroeconomics, IO, Public Finance, Development, Int. Finance, Global Trade, Public Finance, Labor Economics, History of Thought, Marketing, and Urban Economics.

The teaching load for full-time faculty typically includes 2 courses each semester and advising 5-7 students per year on individual undergraduate research projects.

As a liberal arts college, we value critical inquiry. We especially welcome applications from candidates who embrace interdisciplinarity and pluralism through a knowledge of contested theoretical/empirical approaches to Economics.
