The Department of Economics, located in the College of Business at University of Central Florida, seeks to fill an instructor position. The academic year teaching assignment will consist of one section of Principles of Microeconomics, and some combination of upper-division undergraduate economics courses, courses in the MBA program, and courses in business analytics. The typical teaching load is four 3-credit hour courses each fall and spring semester. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-earning position with an anticipated start date of August 8, 2022.

Minimum Qualifications: An M.S. in Economics from an accredited institution is required. Applicants must be academically qualified under AACSB standards to teach at the master's and undergraduate levels. Some prior university teaching experience is required, as is a sustained commitment to teach large classes.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in successfully teaching upper-division undergraduate courses in economics and MBA courses, plus the background and ability to teach business analytics courses at the master's and undergraduate levels is preferred. One year or more of full-time university teaching experience, or the equivalent part-time experience (eight courses), is also preferred, as is industry experience. Additional preferences include experience teaching large classes and teaching by way of various modalities.
