Full Text of JOE Listing:

MIT CEEPR seeks applications for a post-doctoral associate. This is a one-year, full-time position, starting in 2022. The ideal candidate must have strong empirical research skills and have completed the Ph.D. before starting at MIT. The fellow will work with Professor Christopher R. Knittel on research related to energy and environmental economics, including studying demand response among commercial and industrial consumers in wholesale electricity markets. The project is joint with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) by start date in economics, finance, and related fields who are interested in studying themes related to energy and environmental economics; strong empirical economics research skills and programming experience; English language proficiency, excellent skills in communication, presentation, and technical writing; self-motivation.

Preferred: Demonstrated interest in research focusing on energy and environmental economics and industrial organization.
