USAO invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level effective Fall 2022. The successful candidate will be a generalist who will teach introductory and upper-division coursework and will team-teach in USAO’s Interdisciplinary Core Curriculum. USAO is Oklahoma’s public liberal arts college. The Core program features team-taught courses that incorporate professors from various disciplines.

Candidates must have a strong interest in undergraduate teaching, academic advising, and supervision of undergraduate research. Scholarly activity, broadly defined, is expected. Ph.D in Economics preferred; ABD will be considered. Applications from all economic traditions are welcomed. A record of successful teaching in higher education is desired, and evidence of potential for scholarly productivity is required. Individuals with an understanding of and commitment to interdisciplinary, liberal arts education are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues, and a disposition suited to the unique interdisciplinary learning environment of USAO. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high degree of individual initiative and observe high standards of personal and professional integrity.
