The Department of Economics, Applied Statistics and International Business in the College of Business at New Mexico State University is seeking to hire a non-tenure-track college professor in economics. A successful candidate will be expected to provide innovative and excellent instruction, assist in the operation of the Center for Border Economic Development, participate in typical university activities, and engage in professional growth activities.
A doctorate in economics or a closely related field prior to the date of hire and evidence of excellent teaching are required. Candidates with experience working with communities in the U.S. border region; the ability to read, write and converse in Spanish; and an interest in economic development issues of the U.S.-Mexico border region are preferred.
